Our Vision
Founded in 1988, Jungto Society was established to address problems prevalent in modern society. Based on Buddha's teachings, we focus on maintaining peaceful states of mind and taking ownership of our personal lives.
Our vision is to create "Jungto" – a land where individuals are happy, society is peaceful, and nature is preserved.
The word "Jungto" (정토/淨土) means "Pure Land" in Korean Buddhist tradition. It represents our aspiration to build a world of peace and harmony through individual awakening and collective action.
Our Foundation
These three principles guide everything we do at Jungto Society, from personal practice to community service.
Members examine and cultivate their minds, keeping hearts pure and unburdened, free from suffering.
We strive for a peaceful society by recognizing the interconnectedness of all sentient beings.
We seek to live in balance and harmony with nature as the foundation of existence and life's origin.
Our Approach

Members learn and apply Buddha's original teachings in daily lives through morning practice to achieve true happiness and freedom.

Volunteering and donations help those in need and better society. For practitioners, service represents integral practice rather than a separate activity.

Breaking from preconceptions to see things as they truly are. Providing guidance appropriate to individual starting points. Teachings applicable to daily activities.

Providing guidance appropriate to individual starting points, making the teachings accessible to everyone.
Teachings applicable to daily activities including meals, work, and household chores – not separate from life.
